Breaking News:
McDonald's Withdraws Application
On October 15 McDonald's withdrew their application to bring a drive-through restaurant to Ager Road! The concerns that we have expressed by calling, writing, signing, spreading the word, and speaking out have been well received by the County Council. Pressure from the community has paid off!
There are two bills heading for County County that we can support. CB 69-2025 would restrict fast food drive-throughs, and CB 43-2025 would require new businesses to conform to local standards and policies, rather than allowing the Planning Board to treat them as merely advisory. This was the main issue making our fight against McDonald's such a long, uphill one.
A detailed update about the McDonald's fight is in English and Spanish.

Thank you to our Crossing Guards Ms. Jenkins and Mr. Hines!
They have become a part of our school family and we wish them the best on their next assignments.

Join Our PTO Community
The Cesar Chavez PTO is a collaborative organization of parents, guardians, staff, and teachers dedicated to ensuring equitable access to support for all of our students’ parents and guardians regardless of language. We strive to provide parents and guardians with information and support by communicating school events, facilitating access to technology, and connecting parents and guardians to resources and opportunities for volunteering.
We also seek opportunities to provide teachers with assistance through fundraisers, teacher appreciation events, and being a bridge to the larger parent and guardian community. Through our efforts, we hope to create better pathways of communication and foster a sense of connectedness.

PTO membership is free and participation does not require PG country registration.
